How to Re-Order Columns in Scribe Allotments

Re-ordering columns in Scribe Allotments allows you to customise the way information is displayed in list views (e.g., Waiting List, Tenants, or Plots). Your changes will be remembered for that browser, providing a personalised experience.


Step-by-Step Guide to Re-Order Columns:

  1. Navigate to the Relevant List View

    • Go to the menu for the record type you want to adjust, such as:
      • HomePlots, etc.
      • HomeTenants etc.
  2. Locate the Toolbar

    • Above the list of records, find the toolbar with options like Quick Search, Columns, Filter
  3. Open the Columns Tool

    • Click the Columns button in the toolbar to view the available columns for that record type.
  4. Re-Order Columns

    • In the column selection menu:
      • Drag and drop the column names to arrange them in your preferred order.
      • Alternatively, use the provided arrows (if available) to adjust the sequence.
  5. View Changes Instantly

    • Once you’ve re-ordered the columns, close the column selection menu. The changes will be applied immediately.
  6. Browser-Specific Settings

    • The new column order will be remembered for your current browser and device. If you switch browsers or clear your cache, you may need to re-order the columns again.

 


Tips:

  • To hide or show specific columns, tick or untick the boxes next to the column names in the same menu.
  • If the column order resets, it could be due to clearing browser cache or switching devices. Reapply your preferred layout as needed.

By re-ordering columns, you can create a more efficient and tailored workflow every time you use Scribe Allotments.
