How to View the Content of Emails Sent

Scribe records that an email was sent to a recipient, including the date and time of the email. However, for data protection and best practices, the content of the email is not stored within the system. Emails are sent through SendGrid, which does not retain email content for privacy compliance.

If you need a copy of the email content for your records, we recommend the following approach:

Best Practice: CC or BCC Yourself

When sending emails through Scribe Bookings, you can ensure you have a copy of the email by CC’ing or BCC’ing yourself. This allows you to retain a copy in your inbox without compromising customer privacy.

Steps to CC or BCC Yourself on an Email:

  1. Navigate to the email-sending feature
  2. Before sending the email, look for the CC/BCC fields.
  3. Enter your email address in either the CC or BCC field.
    • CC: The customer can see that you received a copy.
    • BCC: The customer will not see that you received a copy.
  4. Compose your email as usual and send it.

You will now receive a copy of the email in your inbox, preserving the content for your records.

Why is the Email Content Not Stored?

To align with data protection regulations (such as GDPR), Scribe does not store email content. This ensures that sensitive customer communications are handled securely and responsibly.
