Troubleshooting: Browse Link Not Opening Photo Gallery on Mobile

If you experience issues with the "Browse" link on your phone not opening your photo gallery, it may be due to a phone setting restriction. Please try the following steps to resolve the issue:

1. Check Permissions for the Browser App

  • Go to Settings > Apps.
  • Find the browser you are using (e.g., Chrome, Edge, Firefox).
  • Tap on Permissions.
  • Ensure Files and Media (or Storage) permission is enabled.
  • If you are using a recent Android version, ensure Photos and Videos permission is also enabled.

2. Clear Browser Cache and Data

  • Go to Settings > Apps > Select the browser.
  • Tap Storage & Cache.
  • Clear Cache, and if necessary, Clear Data (this may log you out of sites).

3. Try a Different Browser

If you are using Chrome, try a different browser like Samsung InternetFirefox, or Microsoft Edge to see if the issue persists.

4. Enable File Access for the Website

Some browsers block file access by default. To check:

  • Open the website.
  • Tap the Lock icon (next to the URL bar).
  • Look for Site settings.
  • Ensure File access or Storage access is allowed.

5. Try a Different Upload Method

  • Instead of clicking "Browse",  tap and hold on the "Browse" link and check if an option like "Open in new tab" or "Open with files" appears.
  • If possible, try dragging and dropping the file if using a desktop mode on a tablet.

6. Restart the Phone

A simple restart can refresh system processes and resolve temporary glitches.
