If you need to download your financial data from Scribe Accounts, such as payments, receipts, invoices, or reports, follow the steps below. This guide will help you export your data in either CSV, Excel, or PDF format.
Downloading Data from the Transactions Menu
To download payments, receipts, invoices, or purchase orders:
Step 1: Navigate to the relevant list
- Go to Transactions → Payments, Receipts, Sales Invoices, or Purchase Orders, depending on the type of data you want to download.
- This will open the list of records for the selected category.
Step 2: Download the data
- At the top-right of the list, click the Actions button.
- From the dropdown menu, select either:
- Download CSV to export as a CSV file.
- Download Excel to export as an Excel file.
- Save the file to your device.
Step 3: Repeat for other categories and financial years
- If you need data for multiple categories (e.g., both Payments and Receipts), repeat the steps above for each one.
- If you work across multiple financial years, you'll need to switch to a different financial year to download data for that period:
- On the left-hand side of the screen, select the desired financial year.
- Repeat Steps 1–2 for the relevant lists.
Downloading Reports as PDFs
You can also download PDF reports for a more summarised view of your data. Commonly used reports include the Summary Report or Year-End Reports.
Step 1: Navigate to the report
- Go to the relevant menu, such as Summary Reports or Year End.
- Select the specific report you want to view (e.g., Summary Report, Income and Expenditure Account).
Step 2: Export the report
- Once the report is generated, look for the Download as PDF option, usually located at the top of the screen.
- Click to save the file to your device.
