At Scribe, we are proud to be a thriving, profitable company, growing 40% year-on-year, serving over 1,350 customers, and managing £362M of funds. The risk of Scribe ceasing operations is extremely low. However, we prioritise transparency and our customers’ peace of mind, so here’s how we would ensure access to your data in such an unlikely event:

  1. Continued Access to Accounts:
In the event of a planned shutdown or operational collapse, we would allow a grace period where customers can log in to their accounts and export their data (transactions, contacts) directly from the platform. This functionality is already available today.

  2. Backup Availability:
If AWS hosting or other core services were no longer operational, we would use one of our monthly offsite backups to provide your data. This data would be delivered in an industry-standard format, such as CSV (spreadsheet-compatible), ensuring you can easily access, store, or migrate your data to another platform.

  3. Notification and Support:
Customers would receive clear and timely communication with instructions on how to download or receive their data. Our support team would be available to assist with any questions during this process.

We remain committed to providing a robust, secure service, but we also ensure contingencies are in place to safeguard your access to your data under any circumstances.
