How to Link a Sales Invoice to a Receipt in Scribe Accounts

If a sales invoice has not been converted to a receipt, you can manually link the invoice to an existing receipt using the edit option. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you through the process.

Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Navigate to the Sales Invoices Menu:

    • Open Scribe Accounts.
    • Navigate to TransactionsSales Invoices.
  2. Select the Sales Invoice to Edit:

    • In the Sales Invoices list view, find the sales invoice you wish to link to a receipt.
    • Click on the invoice to open it for editing.
  3. Open the Related Records Section:

    • Once the sales invoice is open, locate the Related Records section.
    • Click on this section to drop down additional options.
  4. Link the Sales Invoice to a Receipt:

    • In the Related Records section, you will see a Link button.
    • Click on the Link button to proceed.
  5. Add the Transaction ID:

    • A prompt will appear asking for the transaction ID of the receipt you want to link to the sales invoice.
    • Enter the transaction ID for the existing receipt.
  6. Save the Changes:

    • After entering the transaction ID, ensure you save the changes by clicking the Save button.
